I was in Holland working on an Internet project and was blessed to meet lots of new wonderful people every day that many has become my dear friends.
February 11th
I got to know an American Methodist Pastor who introduced me to Jesus. For the first time in my life I heard about the glory of God.
March 13th
I was invited to come to a church to hear my new Dutch friends sing that Sunday. This was totally different from home, this church was so full of Gods Glory so full of life, so filled with the Holy Spirit singing dancing and praising the Lord. It was an International Church where many came from small countries north of Brazil. I knew that God had sent me there to teach me something, but did not know then what He tried to teach me.
March 28th
I got The Woman’s Study Bible from my new friend in the US. Starting to read that Bible, things started to happen in my heart more and more. I also got The Prayer of Jabez book and have prayed that prayer every day since. God sent me on several journeys in Norway to learn, to read the Bible, to pray, and to get into a deeper relationship with God.
April 2005
God spoke to me while I was driving towards Flekkefjord in Norway. Giving me a message, told me to have faith in Gods promises, told me great things that would happen in my life.
April 24th
I was back in Holland and back in the church. This church really did something to my heart. I liked the way they were praising the Lord, singing and dancing, it made me feel so good being happy praising the Lord.
August 2005
I saw that something was missing and God must have seen that if I should be for any help then I needed to learn more, I needed to read the Bible and get closer to God. God had a plan. One day I heard a voice saying; “Prepare yourself, read the Bible, be with your grandmother and learn from her Godly wisdom.”
August 25th
That night I heard a voice say: “lift your eyes, look up here, it is not over.” I could feel the touch of Gods love cover me, there was no room for worries, all I could feel was a warm peace and love cover me and a huge faith in God. God touched me and changed me!
September 10th
I drove to Drammen to join a miracle meeting with Norwegian Jan Hanvold, President of the TV Visjon Norge and American Dr. Joe Martin, called by God to move to Norway and work for God in Norway.
That night I had a special dream that I knew I needed to write down. I dreamed that I lost 2 fingers on the left hand and 1 finger on the right hand and I saw a hole after a nail that had gone through my right hand leaving it bleeding. I saw into the bones with all the destroyed skin around bleeding how it looked where the finger was off, it was not a nice sight. Then I saw my fingers were put back on my hands, it was healed but I could still see the marking of the fingers where they were put back on. No pain, but I remember I looked at the hands and saw the blood.
September 11th
Dr. Joe Martin prayed for me, and confirmed what I had felt for awhile, that I had to put the old life behind me. He said; “Could it be, could it be, could it be? Could it be that you have made compromises? Do you believe that Jesus can help you and heal you?”I said yes. He said; “Oh yes, you need to put your old life behind you. You are ready to die to get up to a new life. I see you’ve had an earlier job a career that failed, but miracles will happen you will have a much bigger career in the future than you’ll imagine. You’ll get a job.”
September 12th
I drove back home. That same week I started to throw away all the things that was holding me down from the past, all my old business, all evil things I could find that I had kept around me, I felt this huge need inside myself to start a new life empty in no need of materialistic things, but richer than ever before, with Jesus as THE center in my life. A huge container was filled up with my old life. I felt a relief and a peace cover me. I was singing gospel songs praising the Lord as I cleaned out my old life step by step.
September 20th
Now I feel as I am living the life that God wants me to live, trusting and loving Him with my life and my money, leaving the old life behind me, ready for the life that God has planned for me. I read the Bible 3-5 hours every day, prayed and praised the Lord with songs.
September 30th
I felt a huge need to help serve the Lord. This made me drive to Drammen again, but this time to help with voluntary work at a Christian TV channel and joined their Bible school and helping around in their garden cutting down trees and made the garden look good. It was wonderful to be able to help God. I took with me lots of office material that I had thrown out that I knew they could use, things that I didn’t need, things that was back from I were cleaning out the old life, things that I could bless them with. I learned to get closer to God in prayers and praising Him.
I joined miracles meetings with Canadian Pastor Max Solbrekken whom prayed for me. It filled me with peace. Max said: “your finances will change, you will see money coming.” Max also prayed that God would fill me with the Holy Spirit, and that He should show me the way.
October 4th
I was watching the TV channel (TV Visjon Norge) together with a young bible student. We both felt The Holy Spirit was there with us. All of a sudden Dr. Joe Martin was reading an SMS I had sent in earlier that same week but had forgotten were I said I wanted to sell all my silver to give the money to God. I needed an economic miracle. When he read this SMS out load on the TV I got the feeling that the Holy Spirit was all over us in the room very strong, and suddenly I felt that I was sitting and touching Jesus feet’s and as a result of that, tears fell down my face while I experienced the beautiful touch of being that close to Jesus. All this was happening at the same time as Dr. Joe Martin spoke directly into the TV camera to the TV audience saying that this person that are willing to give up all the silver did touch Jesus heart deeply in a huge way, it also touched mine a lot Dr. Joe Martin said. This person is right now very close to Jesus, there is nobody between them. You can compare this person with the women that was forgiven her sins, she that oiled Jesus feet’s, washed them with her tears, and dried the tears away with her hair. Dr. Joe Martin spoke what I felt, what I was experiencing right there, sitting in front of the TV screen. I was close to Jesus, I had that happen right there with Jesus.
October 5th
I was glad to be able to witness for the entire Bible school class about what happened to me when watching the TV the other night, my close touch of Jesus. Earlier that day at school the lessons was about being baptized, how and why and what it did to your life in the meaning of making a new commitment to God, showing God that you really believed in and acted on what the scripture preached for all those that wanted to follow Jesus Christ, telling us to leave our old life behind, to pick up the cross and follow Jesus, doing what He did, get baptized in the water and in the Holy Spirit - get born again. Amen.
October 6th
Per Haugan, one of the Bible school teachers told me while sitting eating lunch after school that day that he had got a vision about me yesterday after I gave my witness to the class. Per told me; “God has picked you Reidun out to be a demonstration for baptizing.” I felt a big wow inside. I thanked Jesus in my heart. I told Per this make sense for me cause now I know why I have had that strong need to get it done. God have put that in my heart to move forward, become baptized. What I felt strong I had to do, Per confirmed for me with the voice he heard. But with all this it was still a few days battle to get it done. It seemed hard to get through all hinders that was coming in front of me every day.
October 8th
I had another beautiful touch of Jesus. While together with 10 Bible students, praying, singing and praising the Lord, the Holy Spirit was strong over us. I had a vision. I saw a white clean beach and a blue sea as far as eye could see. On the beach there were 3 people, all dressed in white from their head to their toes, and they were all barefoot walking towards each other. Jesus with white long beautiful hair. He was in the center walking towards the sea from the land. I came from the right on the beach towards Jesus with the face to this other person. A man came from the left walking towards Jesus faced towards me. It was so beautiful so clean so peaceful so filled with love. Jesus had a white book, I knew it was the Holy Book that was open in his hands as he walked slowly and peaceful. We all stopped in front of each other. Jesus reached out and took our hands and joined us together hand in hand. Then He let both His hand fall down in front of Himself at the same time as we turned with the back to Jesus and our face to the sea, Jesus then lifted His hands silent peaceful and did a move with both hands showing us to walk hand in hand out in the ocean. I saw us walking hand in hand with the back to Jesus out into the sea and He stood there watching us peaceful like a father seeing his children leave for a planned safe journey. It brought tears in my eyes, it was so beautiful, and all of a sudden I found myself started sing the first verse of “Amazing Grace.”
October 9th
I was baptized by Jan Hanvold at Visjonkirken. It was a struggle from my eyes opened that morning at 7.00 o’clock when I started to praise the Lord. In the church at 11.00 o’clock that morning we were all hindered, the praising songs and music was hindered, but I felt the open gate to heaven over me with the song that my dear friend Berit, an 82 year Bible student had given me earlier that week, I had that song laying on my lap on top of my Bible “Hele himmelen er åpen over meg” I felt the Holy Spirits touch. After 30 minutes, Jan said we had to start, so I was baptized and then the young man. When I went under the water with my body I was thinking what the scripture said. I left all my old life behind me, I was forgiven all my sins, then I stood up from the water, and I felt as I was born again being cleansed in His blood. Right after the service, we all met at the church cafe room. Then the songs came, we started praising the Lord singing songs like Amazing Grace and many others and the dark clouds and rain outside turned into beautiful sunshine.
Gudny Vigrestad from my hometown Vigrestad, a friend of my greatgrandmother Rakel (she passed away in 1976 being 93 year) and my grandmother Ruth (she passed away in 2009 being 94 year) through Jesus and now a friend of mine came to see me get baptized. Jesus blessed her with a fantastic miracle this summer when Dr. Joe Martin prayed for her. Gudny had been sitting in a wheelchair for 16 years, but that night, July 19th at the miracle meeting in the tent, Jesus heard her prayers and made her stand up and walk. Jesus did a miracle to her, she was healed. I felt so blessed to have her and her husband Rasmus and her sister Sigrund there. They were driving 8 hours in two trailers to join me to celebrate that I was to be baptized. They had been praying for Gudny often but not before now in 2005 her prayers was heard and she could walk again. God did a miracle! Hallelujah!
My new life with the Lord has not always been an easy road. As I came closer to God and grew spiritually hinders came too. Each time God spoke to me and I acted on His word with faith, and I spoke out load declared that I would do what God said, the devil jumped at me and tried to hinder me. In the start I did not know how to handle that and thought it was people that was against me before I learned that it was the devil using his tricks. But we are given to be the head not the tail so the evil had to leave in the name of Jesus.
My first experience with the evil trying to hinder me in a strong way after I became a Christian was in October 2005 when I decided to get baptized, to step into the water, go under the water, get baptized like Jesus did, to make a commitment to God to act of faith to His words to follow Jesus.
I was baptized as a one month old child in the Lutheran church at home in Norway where I grew up. But as I read more and more in the Bible I felt a huge need grow inside me to baptize again, but now on my own choice, step into the water go down under and rise up to be born again with Christ as a commitment to the word of God to take up the cross and follow Jesus. To baptize was important for me and it made me feel Gods peace inside me.
I have learned that when I feel the evil tries to hinder me, then it is even more important to not stop and wonder what is wrong, but to move on, press on with the plans, get it done ASAP and to get the evil where it belongs, under my feet in the name of Jesus.
October 13th
Rev Alexander Daniel from India now living in Texas was teaching at the school. Rev Alexander Daniels all of a sudden reached out his right hand towards the entire class talking about most of you must have children, then his hand swinged out towards me sitting all to the left in the class room, he was smiling and saying; “You do not have to worry, you will have a child and you will marry a godly man.”My heart jumped. Little did he know about me and my over 20 year dream to have my own child but he hit the spot in my heart. I jumped up out off my chair as tears fell and as I lifted my hands danced around and praised the Lord and said thank you Jesus out load. In the middle of the teaching a little later that same day, he stopped while saying; “now those that need a prayer those that need a miracle must come forward now cause the Holy Spirit is very strong here over me right now.” I asked Rev Alexander Daniels to pray me, for an economic miracle in my life and that God would show me where he needed me. He prayed and he said: “you will have a breakthrough on your economic life and within 14 days you will see things start to happen, and you will hear God tell you where He needs you.” Then he came close to me, made me know this was important to hear; “to get this, you need to stay close to God in prayers and reading the bible every day for the next 14 days. God will show you the way. It will happen.”
Rev Alexander Daniels said he could see the Bird Flue coming and the only protection he saw was to be covered with the Holy Ghost.
October 24th
While drying my hair that morning I heard a voice, so I run to the kitchen and found pen and paper, the voice said: “You need to write this down - keep your eyes open - miracles will happen - you will be part of it - be prepared - the Lord has a message to you - be faithful - let your old life go - trust Jesus - you will have a job - you’ll make more money than you can use - be patient God has heard your prayers - you shall lay hands on sick people - you will sing Glory songs to God - you will be blessed - this I say to you now is important.” Then the voice stopped.
October 28th
I woke up in the middle of the night hearing a voice saying to me: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
October 31st
I heard a voice saying: “The Lord has spoken; Your prayers has been heard. Get ready.” Later the same day I felt things started to fall into place about my trip to visit the US so I booked the flight. I felt that the Lord was showing me it was time to act in faith.
November 1st
I asked the Lord how will people believe the miracles I have had? The voice said: “You must record it.” The voice also said: “Your heart is open to Gods message.”
November 3rd
I received a package from Johannes L. Oksnevad whom is 88 year and is my father’s cousin living in Rockford, IL. He sent me a book about the Norwegian evangelist Aril Edvardsen with the title: "Dreaming & Archiving The Impossible." Inside the book he had written to me: “Reidun, I think you and Aril have some in common! God Bless! Johannes.” I was deeply touched by him comparing me with Aril whom we knew for his fantastic work to spread the gospel around the world. I knew I could not be compared with Aril but at the same time it came to my mind what Johannes said to me about the scripture that he got when he had the call from God (same as my grandmother Ruth got) 1. Cor. 1:26-31
November 4th
I started driving towards Karmøy. I was going to join a few meetings with Jan Hanvold, Dr. Joe Martin and Svein Johnsen from Visjon Norge, whom were in Kopervik with miracle meetings from Thursday to Saturday. Svein Johnsen prayed for me and said; “God has heard you and will fix everything.” Dr. Joe Martin came and joined us and prayed for me saying: “Do not say anything, it has been enough talk about this, God has answered your prayers, He has taken care of it all, also your relationship, it is taken care of.” Svein Johnsen was praying for peace in my mind and peace in my body then Dr. Joe Martin prayed and said: “Everything old is behind you now, new things start and you are ready, God has prepared everything, for you, for your relationship and everything that you shall do.” I felt a warmth, joy, love and peace fill me inside. I was in bed at 1.30.
November 5th
I woke up at 05.35 that morning hearing a voice saying: “Reidun..” My eyes were wide open and I was listening. Then I head it again: “Reidun.. you shall go out into the world and tell people about the miracles that you have experienced, and how Gods Glory is touching you. You shall reach them with love, joy peace and inspiration from your heart. You shall show them all Gods Glory.” I hurried to say thank you Lord whatever you say I accept it cause I know you have a plan with my life and if this is your plan then I know even though I do not see how you can use me I know that you have a plan and I need to walk in faith with you Lord.
December 3rd
Flew in to Nashville. Felt a huge peace in my heart, a feeling that God wanted me here, I felt that The Holy Ghost prepared me for something that God wanted me to take part in. I was reading the Bible for hours each day and prayed and watched many Christian TV programs while I am there, I felt stronger in faith, I felt richer inside with joy, peace, wisdom and knowledge. This was a good place for me to be close to God.
I am praying that God will show me the way, show me His will, show me where He wants me. The Holy Ghost tells me to keep up the faith and be patient. I am told to be patient rest assure what is Gods plan will happen. I know that I have to be patient and keep the faith and let God fulfill what He promised. What God promise, no man can change, because it will come to pass.
I am asking God to show me the way and I know God will show me where he wants me when time is right He will let me know. I have faith in Gods plan. Whatever happens I know I need to be close to the Lord, that I feel in my heart more and more.
While in Nashville I am fasting and praying. I know that God has called me and I am open and willing to hear the Lord speak and let Him lead me His way. I know that being in Nashville was part of another step forward the path building a strong relationship with God. An education and a spiritual journey with the Lord being my guide and teacher, preparing me for the work that He has prepared beforehand for me.
Christmas was special. I was far away from my family in Norway but I had a wonderful Christmas where I could give Jesus full focus, celebrate His birthday in prayers, fasting, reading the Bible, writing and listen to His word.
I am hungry for Gods word, hungry to learn, hungry to have a close relationship with Him, and hungry to do the work that God wants me to do. When I arrived Nashville I felt a huge peace fill me. I felt like I came home. I felt I was covered with Gods peace and love.
It was good to be around so many Christians preaching teaching the gospel singing Glory songs praising the Lords name reaching out in so many wonderful warm creative ways winning new souls to God in the US and throughout the world through many different Ministries and TV programs. Being anointed with the Holy Ghost doing miracles like Jesus taught us to do healing the sick in the name of Jesus.
Psalm 119:30-32. I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me. I cling to Your testimonies; O’Lord, do not put me to shame! I will run the course of Your commandments, For You shall enlarge my heart.
Coming to Nashville was part of an education preparation that God started on me in April 2005. I knew that God had it all planned for me from I was a little seed in my mothers womb.
Psalm 139:16. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they were all written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them
Psalm 145:14. The Lord upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down.
Psalm 55:23. Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
I am seeking the Lords guidance for my life. I am seeking God to show me His way, His will for me. I am seeking God to give me wisdom, strength, encourage me, help me become strong in faith, fill my heart with love, joy, peace, empower me, open my ears and my eyes in my heart so I can hear the Holy Ghost speak to me. I am seeking God to help me break away from what hinders me to prosper, show me how to change what I might be doing wrong. I am seeking God to show me how I can have a close relationship with the Lord. I know I need my Father to help me stay away from evil.
I know that God does have a huge master plan for my life, I know he wants me to have great success to prosper so that I will be able to help children like my heart yearns for, so that He can use me where He needs me most, so that I can be used for His will and His glory.
I thank You Father for restoring me. I thank You Father that You did not throw away the broken vase the broken clay, but you picked up every little piece and started to restore that same clay to be made the way You want it to be in the image of Christ. I know I have been a broken clay in the hands of the Potter that has been going through a huge restoration. I know my Father is still restoring me for to become as He wants me to be. I know I have been going through fire like the clay has, to become strong to hold the water. I know I am going through a restoration so that I may be used for Gods purpose and made strong enough to hold what God wants me to hold.
What needs to happen - Needs to be spoken
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
But He knows the way that I take When He has tested me, I shalll come forth as gold. Job 23:10
Hear my son, and receive my sayings, And the years of your life will be many. I have taught you in the way of wisdom I have led you in the right paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, And when you run, you will not stumble. Proverbs 4:10-12
Father, I thank You for Your favor.
Father I thank You for filling me with love, joy and peace.
I thank You for let me be a witness for Your love, joy and peace.
I thank You for let me share how Gods glory is touching me.
Father I thank You for using me as Your vessel.
